Out-of-Hours Ambulance Driver

As an Ambulance Driver, you will play a vital role in responding to emergency callouts and transporting animals and wildlife safely and humanely. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver a professional, efficient, and compassionate 24-hour ambulance service to members of the public.
 
Knowledge, skills and experience
 
Essential
Full, clean manual driving licence (preferred) with access to parking.
Ability to work independently, use initiative, and take responsibility for completing tasks within agreed parameters.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling professional, compassionate, and effective interactions with staff, volunteers, visitors, and members of the public.
Experience assessing and managing operational risks, including on-the-spot risk assessments.
Knowledge of health & safety compliance requirements and best practice across all aspects of the role, including animal welfare.
Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to a busy environment.
Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and accurate record-keeping ability.
Physical ability to safely handle and lift animals of varying sizes.
Ethical approach to working with animals, demonstrating sound judgement and compassion.
 
Desirable
Knowledge of animal behaviour and training.
Previous experience in animal care or handling.
Previous experience in a receptionist, customer service, or administrative role.
